Why the cat side is rolling out in stages
The dog side launched in May 2026 because the CMA's investigation concentrated on canine medication and search demand for dog-specific Rx terms is roughly five times larger than cat-equivalents. The cat formulary has its own dynamics — more compounding, more transdermal/oral suspension, more situational dosing — and we wanted to build the right comparison engine for it rather than retrofit the dog one.
Owners with both species can use the dog side now and the cat side as pricing rolls out. The £21 prescription cap and the VMD register framework apply identically to both species.
